After 15 wonderful years of owning and running Silkflow, Richard and Sharon have made the decision to retire.
Many of our customers will be aware that Richard took some time away from the business earlier this year due to ill health. This period gave Richard and Sharon the opportunity to reflect on the future, and together they decided that now is the right time to begin a new chapter and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
We appreciate that this news may come as a surprise, particularly to those customers who have known Richard and Sharon for many years. However, we are delighted to share that Silkflow will now become part of TSW, a company within the Culligan Harvey Group.
This decision was not made lightly.
Richard and Sharon wanted to ensure that the customers they have cared for over the years would continue to receive the same personal service, support, and attention that have always been at the heart of Silkflow. After getting to know the team at TSW, they felt confident they had found the right people to continue that legacy.
While there will inevitably be some changes over time, our priority is to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible. We understand how important trust, reliability, and personal relationships are, and we are committed to maintaining the high standards of service that customers have come to expect.
By joining the Culligan Harvey Group, we also hope to bring additional flexibility, support, and resources, while still retaining the local feel and personal touch that has made Silkflow special.
For those who don’t already know us, the team you’ll be hearing from includes Cat, Angus, Lucy, Martin, and Martina. We are all incredibly proud to be entrusted with the responsibility of caring for Silkflow’s customers and continuing the service that Richard and Sharon have built.
Whether it’s arranging your regular salt deliveries, supporting your water softener, or simply being at the end of the phone when you need us, our goal remains exactly the same: to look after you and your family with genuine care.

“Looking back over the last 15 years, we feel incredibly grateful for the support, loyalty, and friendship shown by our customers.
Many of you have been with us for years, and it has been a privilege to help look after your homes and families. From delivering salt to servicing softeners and chatting on the doorstep, we’ve genuinely enjoyed being part of your lives.
Following Richard’s health challenges earlier this year, we knew the time had come to consider retirement. Now Richard has fully recovered, our next mission is to make lots of lovely memories with our family and of course, our beautiful Grand-daughter!
While deciding to step away wasn’t easy, finding the right people to continue caring for our customers was our number one priority.
We are delighted that TSW will be taking over the running of Silkflow. Their values, customer-first approach, and genuine care for people gave us confidence that our customers would be in safe hands.
Thank you to everyone who has sent kind messages and well wishes. Your support has meant more than you will ever know. We leave with many happy memories and are excited for the future of the business under the care of Cat and the team.”
